I didn't know they still made calipers that needed a transfer tube. I thought the whole world had gone to drilled castings.

Please ignore me ignorance but what is a transfer tube on a caliper?I didn't know they still made calipers that needed a transfer tube. I thought the whole world had gone to drilled castings.
Those are Brembo calipers with the logo replaced; GM has several offerings like that (including the crazy 6 piston / 16" front rotor upgrade kits for the newer trucks. $$$$)I didn't know they still made calipers that needed a transfer tube. I thought the whole world had gone to drilled castings.
Thanks for the info. I do get that ignorance can be remedied with education "most" of the time. Sometimes I dont like asking questions that can be answered by a quick google search.A transfer tube is used on a caliper with pistons on both sides of the rotor (fixed mount caliper) to transfer fluid to and from the outboard pistons.
Many newer calipers have drilled passages that serve the same purpose.
Ignorance can be remedied with education. Never be afraid to ask. Especially here!
You ask as much as you want. PM me if you want. I will answer what I can. I learn as much as I answer questions. Thanks for the info. I do get that ignorance can be remedied with education "most" of the time. Sometimes I dont like asking questions that can be answered by a quick google search.
