I was living in CA and commuting to Juarez MX via El Paso for a couple years, then they talked me into taking over as Extrusion Production and Maintenance Manager in Jaurez. We were looking at properties in El Paso area and New Mexico. I got a lot of guff from other people that lived there about raising their property values. That wasn't my plan but...They're coming to Texas too. In the process of messing up Austin area, and making it harder for the locals to have affordable housing. This was already happening, but they've accelerated the situation.
Well, in a moment of sanity, I quit that job and took one in Modesto CA (still lived in Merced - a 50+ mile one way commute) a year before we moved to AZ. God, I'm glad we didn't move to El Paso, not a bad town but crossing the border everyday - not so much!
