Think I've spotted the blue and orange wires under the brake booster. I'm leaving the arm scarring search for the wires at the rear until later (coward!).

If my truck has a ball hitch - where will it be hiding? It's not in the cubby where the jack is. Anywhere else it could be? (Or maybe it's never had one. There's no sign of the electrics ever having been done).

Bear in mind that my aux fan mounted directly to the AC rad and East 302's piece refers to the fan being triggered by either or engine or AC temps.
If that is normally where a trans cooler would be (with AC present) then there's be three rads one behind then other behind the other. Is passenger side fitment of trans cooler only with no AC? I'm guessing (by what's been said) that my trans cooler isn't one GM made or specified. Odd to take it to the opposite side from where the pipes exit and enter the trans but that would be true also of the AC rad if it were driver side - given where its plumbing passes through the bulkhead into the cabin.

Transmission cooler was RPO code KNP, it would be on the glovebox label if originally equipped. The cooler was on the passenger side for the 350 and 6.5 diesels and toward the driver side on the 454.

Factory location was in front of the condenser, regardless. Best guess is that the auxiliary engine cooler precluded the use of the transmission cooler, but the parts diagrams that I find do not mention this exclusion when referencing the transmission cooler.

No sign of KNP on either my build sheet or glovebox. KO2 Fan Radiator Booster is on both.

On my build sheet is C6P GVW Rating 8,600lbs/3900kg. What does that relate to? I thought the all up permitted weight for a 2500 would be tare + payload which would be 2500 + 750 = 3250kg. Is the additional 650kg (3900-3250) trailer nose weight?

What east302 said......

All four of my Vortecs start with a bump of the key unless I leave them outside in single digit weather or colder. Then it takes an extra revolution of the motor.
A clarification on my post: like the northern guys were saying, my truck starts right up in typical southeast Texas weather. Back in what we had for winter this year, below 50 degrees it needed a couple more seconds of cranking. Usually I put the key in and turn it to start and it's running almost immediately. Just a moment or two of holding it in "start" and it fires right up.

The GVWR includes the vehicle, cargo, people and trailer tongue weight. Here is trailer weight info from a 98 owner manual...

Your earlier post re pressure - I need to get a gauge on that. Wondering if pressure isn't leaking back to tank. Normally, it's held high to prevent vapourisation.

Does your truck not have the frame mounted receiver hitch? I've rarely seen a Burb without one. The ball mount was not included with the truck new as far as I know. On this side of the pond a class 2 ball mount with 2" ball(50mm),which is what most regular trailers use, is around $25-$35 depending on brand and quality. You can kind of see the receiver hitch in my avatar picture

Yes I can see the edge of your hitch in your avatar picture. It's tucked up under the bumper.

Aye, I have what we call a draw bar but no 'ball'. Build sheet says I have 'Z82 Trailering Package (Special)(Reese type hitch)'. I need a Reese ball then!
Is Reese an American thing do you think or more international?
