I was looking into a similar project a few years back and found this guy's Isuzu 4BT swap.

The biggest issue with a diesel swap into the gmt400 platform is the intercooler. It takes a lot of fabrication to mount a cooler on the front.
That’s a really good job, looks super clean. I’m doing a duramax swap in a suburban and the intercooler from the duramax is in no way going to fit without major modifications.wasn't that bad. Intercooler from a 6bt fits nicely in there.didnt have to trim too much

Thanks man.Used a w/t grille, fit with no modifications. It fits in the regular stacked headlight grille with a little clearancing on the marker lights. That’s a really good job, looks super clean. Did you need to modify any of the front lights? And what radiator did you use?
Aha I didn’t even think about using a w/t grill that’s a good way to go.Thanks man.Used a w/t grille, fit with no modifications. It fits in the regular stacked headlight grille with a little clearancing on the marker lights.
The radiator is for a 454 truck.little bit taller, have to use different radiator hold down brackets.
