Maybe I will just pull off my throttle body and clean it real good, inspect everything that's there. I have yet to do this and I imagine it's pretty dirty.

I will run to the parts store to grab a new gasket.

As far as TB’s go... this one is pretty damn clean! I haven’t touched it yet.

Doesn't surprise me... you're whole truck is clean. Everytime I see your engine I feel like I'm looking at a GM brochure from when the trucks were new!

Excuse me, if this has been covered before, but I don't recall.... have you had a scanner on this? Any codes, either current or past?
I'm thinking you need to start monitoring sensors or something. Maybe check out Schroedinger's Cat on Youtube. He has some excellent videos on trouble shooting and finding out the cause of a problem.

Lol I just like keeping things clean man!

No codes... none are stored either... if I don’t find anything with troubleshooting steps from here... I will have to start digging deeper. It’s just difficult because it’s random

I guess the question is:

What could cause a truck to die...only in gear... coming to a stop (applying the brake)... forward and reverse... and randomly... while maintaining fuel pressure at the test port.

No advice, but cool shirt, lol.

The fan isn’t a bad idea, either.

Air flow keeps the mosquitos out of your face... and just makes things generally more comfortable to work on!

My wife thought it was “cute” that he was helping an snapped a pic. He isn’t really helping. He was a actually slowing me down! But that’s ok... wouldn’t trade it for nothing.

You may have already looked, but do you have a scanner to read the Throttle Position sensor? If it’s sticking (open) the computer would have trouble adjusting to idle. It should be reading 0.85 volts or less at closed position.

I believe my scanner reads it as a %... I haven’t checked that recently... I can check it once I get my TB buttoned back up on the truck. Took a break to eat some dinner
