I'm Awesome
Ok, so who has done what? I'm one of those guys who even on my daily driver if I replace things or remove them I have a had time leaving them alone, lol. I need to get some pics of my current project which is what made me think of this thread. I can't find much on gmt400 custom engine bays. I know I'm not the only one who does this, so let's share.
Right now I'm in the process of replacing my fuel system and exhaust. So while I have the intake apart I coated the top shell with 3 coats of Duplicolor Aluminum engine enamel. Did the same to the throttle body after I did the blade mod to it. Also shot the MAF ends too. Next up on my list is thermostat housing in Aluminum color and the valve covers in gloss black. I'm also stripping the new Summit shorties to coat with Aluminum color VHT. And I got some nice high temp titanium plug wire sleeves to dress it up and protect the wires.
I'm seriously thinking about grabbing a extra set of stock pulleys and shooting them with the Aluminum engine enamel too.
And I have a plan for a DIY cold air setup using the stock box but deleting the ribbed section, silencer and hat that goes on the TB. Also debating the swap to electric fans to clean that area up too.
