Ok so is it possible for me to tear down a 92 transmission and use some of it's internals to rebuild my 94 transmission.

No it will not, electric is needed, 94 is non electric, it has a TV cableWill a 96+ 4l60e fit a 94 ?
Live action!!
700R4 has a cable by where the dipstick goes in, a 4L60E has a electric plug further back behind the dipstickHow do you identify the the 700R4 from the 4L60 E ?
I would look for a transmission parts place near you, "" WIT. Whatever it takes "". Has a store about a mile from me, they sell to the public as well as the local tranny repair shops, factory replacement was like $75, upgrade to kevlar inside was $90, installed on in my 94 extended cab 11 years agoAll that being said, one can assume that a 700R4 from a 92 extended cab will not work in a 94 single cab.
But...are the torque converters interchangeable? Mine hits really hard from 1st to 2nd and when going from park to drive or reverse.
They started putting 4L60Es in GMT400 trucks in 93. The most common PCM 16197427 for model years 93-95, controlled the trans too. Some other ones were used too.No it will not, electric is needed, 94 is non electric, it has a TV cable
Well. somebody may have swapped them out. What ECM service number do you have?My 94 has the 4L60, not with the E
