Speed limiter on '91 454 SS ?

The speed limiter started between 92-94 I'm not sure of 1st year but I do know a 94 has one

That is not correct. Black box can easily be reved higher. The secondary "rev-limit" is actually the ignition coil dwell being too long at high rpm. I have had the black box running 6,500.

wow I did not know that I read some where that the black box was hard wired at 5800 forget where seen read it and I do not know why any would think or say that

At one point it was not known what made the black box act like it had a secondary rev-limit.

I believe that to be correct. The 91-92 4L80Es used that ECM for both the 350 and 454.

91 would not have been the 7747 as it came with a 4L80E. Should be IIRC a $85 bin BAMY.

Is BAMY a modified .bin?

BAMY was a 454SS cal from memory.

Going from memory here, BAMY was actually an upgraded Memcal for 91-93 and was installed in some later factory 93 454 SS trucks. It had some tuning corrections to correct problems in earlier calibrations.
