I know the thread hasn’t been bumped in a few months…but any more mods on the burban? I just picked up a 95 as well and want to drop it as well….your pics have been the perfect inspiration.

Did you have to adjust anything with the fuel tank when you notched it?

Haven’t really done much to it lately, took it on a short trip during Easter weekend.

I want to fine tune the front suspension (maybe coil-overs or air) some but the rear is dailed in perfectly. The rear is simple, didn’t have to do anything to the gas tank or a/c lines.

I’m trying to save a truck payment a month in preparation to possibly buy another truck, I haven’t had a truck payment in several years so my fun money is kinda spoken for right now.

Thanks again for the feedback, man. I know you mentioned djm a-arms up front (is that top and bottom?), and then swapping the rear to belltech.

I put 20’s on mine, but they’re about the same dimensions as stock tires, so I think we’d be comparable. I’ll still need to occasionally tow with mine, and I mtn bike often, so want to be able to go “slightly off a paved road” without issues.

Do you mind messaging me what all is on there now, as you’ve found the sweet spot? Would it be able to go over a curb at this ride height?

Finally got around to doing the helper bags and I also removed the over load spring while I was at it.

The upper bag brackets are made for a truck with a belltech notch so I had to cut and drill extra holes and the djm flip kit gave me clearance issues so had to weld the perch to the axle and get rid of the top plate, but I’m happy with it for now. When the wind dies down it will get a nice coat of chassis paint.

@A97obs see above post for helper bag pics, might need to click the image link
I see the scenario now .
So what do I need to do exactly should the upper bag bracket be good to bolt like yours ?
You mention the Djm flip don’t work and the perch?
I used the Amazon flip kit the flip bracket ears juat seat under the perch
I think the key question is knowing Is that a type of ( drop) bag ? As in shorter to accommodate the flip ? That is what we were concerned about . Airlift doesn’t give real specs on collapse and lifted height. Do you know what bag that actually is part# and is it available still .

Do you install the bracket and bag with the truck frame jacked up and the rear end hanging at its lowest point . Or do you want weight load on the ground

59106BT is the part number you need, you might need to drill a couple of new holes. I kept some weight on the rear and let the bag show me were it wanted the top bracket to be. Your flip kit bracket will work perfect also.
