Lol....I have been known to knock a stuck wheel off with mine once or twice!!
But somehow managed to acquire a 8lb sledge so have used that, but I think the axe scares the unmovable object so it moves easier! Lol

And id love an oxy/acet setup.....but damn are they expensive!!!
Yes the axe was being used as a 10 pound sledge as it was closer to me than the sledge. I was trying to tap out the rear leaf spring bolts but it was a no go situation.

2 minutes per side with the oxy acet and I was in business! $360 for a used oxy acet setup with 3 full tanks and a cart. Tiger torch setup came with it, also called a rosebud used fir Pre heating big metal objects before welding

Ok, holes drilled to mount my 2” lower 1500 front leaf spring hangers as the 2500 hangers are placed differently. Re using the saddles only, new used 1/2 ton leaf pack, new bolts and new u bolts. Not pretty but it’s happening.

A few cool trucks at work today. Part of my job duties today was inspecting these trucks before they were allowed to go to work as contractors. These welders make $1600 per day here, nice rigs! Only one guy failed inspection, was a rusty Ford. He was pissed, but the frame was rotten.

Some nice rigs there. Feast or famine doing the rig welder gig though. Seen my fair share of guys lose everything.....good times only last so long. Have to prepare for the down times.
Yup they normally make 500,000 a year and go bankrupt every few years. A friend of mine only dates welders, it’s a seasonal thing…. She dumps them once they go bankrupt but wow was it fun! lol

Paige is also a landlord with the ability to work a few months a year if she wants to but she’s a minority.
