So this could be the issue causing the miss?
Still confused on why it would run fine on base timing if it was a motor issue. Unless it not sealing so messing with the sensors?
Just checked vacuum and it’s extremely erratic at around 20inhg Almost looks like the needle is buzzing between 18 and 21
Is this a valve not fully closing? Or a vacuum leak.
And could this cause the mis if it was running fun on base.
I did the test with the truck not missing
What all controls timing on these trucks. I’d assume the knock sensor does is there a map sensor and if so does it have an effect on timing. I’m wondering if there could be a simple vacuum leak or something that wouldn’t cause too much of a problem when the electronic timing isn’t working which...
Yes with it just running off base timing it doesn’t miss. But with the electronic advance connected it misses but only on idle. Does the electronic timing control anything other than just ignition timing? Because if not wouldn't it stand to reason that there is a fault in that system if it ran...
I’ve got a weird one.
I recently bought my 1994 k1500 with the 350 from a guy in my area. He had owned it for a short time and the owner before him put an aftermarket tbi setup with a spacer and different ram style intake in it. To my knowledge that is the extent of the aftermarket parts...
It still doesn’t make sense to me why it quits when at full lock going down my driveway. Maybe the noise is sneaking by the steering shaft grommet or resonating through something that just so happens to deaden out when in that position?
I believe so I didn’t do much research into it. Has a spacer and an intake and the guy was unclear if it was an aftermarket unit or just a remand one. And yes I can feel the injectors firing in time with the click.
I took the air cleaner off and this is what it sounds like. Almost sounds like injector noise is seperate from whatever the other one is. Not even 100% sure that’s what I’m hearing in the cab because I don’t know how it sounds so clear in there. I can feel a sort of vibrations that is in time...
Not really, doesn’t feel like anything is wrong with it. Previous owner put an aftermarket throttle body in it could it be a solenoid or iac or something inside that?
I’ve done some more investigation and it seems like it’s coming from under the hood. Either the distributor ignition coil or the throttle body. Any ideas?
Please help.
I recently bought a 94 k1500 with the 350. When the engine is running there is this weird rapid clicking or buzzing coming from the drivers side dash area. It sounds louder when you are under the dash where the pedals are. If you give it a little throttle it increases in speed and...
