so seeing as everyone is throwing around CID #'s here i figured this would be a good spot to ask what a 355 is? i heard people talk about it a time or two from this or that forum but what is it, just a bored 350?
wouldn't it be more cost effective to just remove the A/C and buy a NEW belt rather then buy something to use your original belt. your going to have to pull the A/C anyways right.
previous owner of my truck tried the needle trick and just wrecked the driver side nozzle, so i'd recommend against that. i should really just go to the dealer and buy a new set but i hardly ever use the wipers so i always forget.
yea i just went through that same problem the volt meter was all over the place and when it was cold, like -35C, it would give off this terrible whine. since i changed it it hardly ever moves off 14
This guy was having the same issue not to long ago. Turned out to be the IAC, so thats my guess.

wow i'm impressed a guy that knows his flow meters haha, but yea of coarse they'll work it just comes down to how accurate. but for myself i do agree i would rather go the cold air route, but for those who would choose looks over function the open element looks pretty cool.
yea about the vortec, most flow meters(which is basicly what a MAF is) need a straight run before and after to get an accurate reading across the meter so yea open element is not really an option, which sucks because is looks BAD A**
