well, it's that time. the 350 in my 88 finally took a dump. truck had virtually no oil pressure once it warms up. since i can't find the accessory brackets for the 454, i'm gonna need a short block to tide me over. the only reason i'm interested in a short block is that i have a set of rebuilt heads in the basement just waiting to be used. where would be the best place to find a reman short block? preferably a basically drop in ready to go model. just looking to add my heads and some external parts.

1. Check your local newspaper and craigslist for reman blocks.

2. Some local auto body shops and auto salvage yards rebuild blocks and sell them.

3. Local speed shop.
