I got 1996 suburban 2500 with the 7.4 Vortec and 4l80e tranny. I will be driving and it will shift perfectly fine almost like a brand new veichle then I'll come to a stop and then itll shifting really hard when it's spose to shift and it'll only shift out of 1st at around 2500 Rpms and this is when I'm barely giving it gas. it feels like the trannys gona break lose and it'll do that through all gears but if I have the cruise set and I come to stop it'll start shifting normal again. Don't know if anyone knows anything about this. I was gona try flushing the tranny otherwise ordering a monster tranny.
