Tranny issue

So my trucks in a shop no way to reach my mechanic I got a guy that has a rebuilt 1 piece tranny for me will it mount if my tranny is a two piece? I’ve only had my truck for about a month before the tranny took a **** on me so I didn’t get to explore everything on my truck. My tranny guy has a two piece available but needs to build it. Was just curious cuz I wanna get this beast on the road asap

I “think” 96 was 1st year 2-piece. I would hope your transmission guy was the expert.

I got a two piece everything’s all good he had both rebuilt just was trying to make sure which one it was before I went to pick it up
