None of the trans temp gauge options work on my truck, and i have loaded the gm specifics in the app. Ive talked to several people that have the app and use it on their 98s with the 4l80e and it reads trans temp. Anyone managed to use it on their 97s? Ive searched high and low for other PIDs that it may use with no luck.

Never could get it to work with either of my 97s with 4L60Es unfortunately. Tried a ton of PIDs.

I read (dont know if 100% true or not) that the 4l60e doesnt have a temp sensor for the pcm at all. I know the 4l80e does, you can see it on a scangauge 2 but i cant see it here.

The 4L60E does in fact have a trans temperature sensor internally. With an Autel scan tool I could read it and the temperature tracked the external gauge I installed accurately.

It seems to show almost everything else you can see on a 98, excluding fuel gauge which apparently goes straight to the gauge cluster, unlike the 98 that goes thru the ecm according to another thread.

Mine is a 1997 4L60E, can see the reading on the Autel, never bothered to look for advanced PID's for the Torque app.
