throttle body spacer issue?

i installed a tbs and my check engine light came on about 15 miles down the road, why? and what do i do?

Check to see what code it is. I did mine and found out I forgot to plug back in my EGR tube.

Check to make sure all your vacuum lines are connected, as well as electrical connections

well now when i sit at idle or am not on the gas the engine literally screams a high pitch squeal. but when i hit the gas it slowly goes away. any ideas?

Check for vacuum leaks and pull the code! That's the for sure way to know.
