Really not sure on that. I have never encountered that issue. If the drive sensor is cheap, I'd just replace it. As I was saying, unplugged, the computer would not let the engine rev past 1,200 rpm. I put the trans in mine back in after changing a pilot bushing, and a throw out bearing, and didnt plug it in as I was just testing. Truck would not rev, and when I plugged it in, everything went back to normal. Knowing that, it's worth checking it out.That's the VSS in the tailshaft housing? Mine is leaking around the o-ring and has the area all gummed up. It was already on my list of stuff to fix.
Does it feed directly to the speedo?
I don't have a tach, and it's not a gauge surge, my actual RPMs surge a little when the speedo does it's little "flip."
A new bit of info, when I have my ALDL cable hooked up and tunerpro rt connected and it "flips", I get a connection error. Each time it happens the error count goes up 1.
Need some info on a center console or some ideas. I need cup holders!
