about $100..... the tcc solenoid is the torque converter clutch solenoid, AKA the torque converter lock up solenoid, its what tells the torque converter to lock up in overdrive and such, so the the tcc solenoid can either fail to engage or in this guys case fail to disengage but his torque converter is still going to be A-OK, if the torque converter itself would go out then youd have reverse but NO forward gear, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83iCYUapW1w , or your going to have crazy sounds like this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqUYcXkp7s4 , or also commonly youll have shuddering with it, but just the tcc solenoid youll have sometimes no overdrive lock up or again like this guys case it wont disengage from locking up, so if i remember correctly what you can do is when you want to stop, throw it in neutral, come to a complete stop, wait like 30 seconds and try putting it back in gear, thats how i got around in a 2000 dodge neon i had for a while when it would lock up like that
