Hey guy's, I have a 97 chevy I'm looking at changing my steering gear in. I replaced the pump about 2 years ago and it was leaking again so I changed it out and replaced the evo valve with the bypass kit ( GM #19168825 for anyone who wants the number) and it still has alot of play and I think when I was getting the air out of the system I pushed a seal out because the gear leaks pretty bad now. My question is, is there a better steering gear replacement? Something that might stiffen up the steering even more, or should I just go with a stock steering gear?

is the pitman arm bad?
I know my pitman arm was bad, and relized gearbox was bad when I changed that, not sure if the bad pitman arm led to bad gear or not, but it was leaking where they meet, stearings a lot better, maybe it doesn't feel real tight, bit it stears when I turn it now
