Speed limiter on '91 454 SS ?

The .bin in my '91 305 is 98 MPH with a 4800 RPM limit and the BPSA .bin in the 7427 for '95 G series van is the same. I haven't studied all the .bins on gearhead efi but the few I have looked at all had 98 MPH speed limiters. I'd be interested in seeing what they burned into a cop car prom.
If you have the ECM# and BCC for the 454SS I may be able to find it and see what they did.

That is not correct. Black box can easily be reved higher. The secondary "rev-limit" is actually the ignition coil dwell being too long at high rpm. I have had the black box running 6,500.

91 would not have been the 7747 as it came with a 4L80E. Should be IIRC a $85 bin BAMY.

The max for OBD1 is 255 speed,6375 revs. There is quite a lot of adjustability with the only disadvantage of not being able to direct flash,the reason I built a ribbon cable and mounted a ZIF socket to the inside of my glovebox.

You can actually disable the rev-limit option and rev them higher.
