I've always thought about doing a similar thing (without molding it to the grille, though) with a '99-'02 Sierra bumper and the '94-'98 GMC grille.

got the grill need the bumper... Shouldnt the bumper come around as far as yours Jason?

You would have to cut into the grille and trim the leading edge of the fender back some. At least, to do it how I see it.
