Hey guys thinking about going for the 3rd 700r4 just to simplify things. Maybe the manual swap later down the road. But a question is would a s10 tq converter raise my stall. I read The the stock stall for our tucks is about 1400, and a s10 converter would raise it to about 2000. Is this about true? I'm into the racing and was thinking this would be a cheap upgrade if I go the 700r4 route. I read it on tbichips.com were I plan on getting my chip for my cam.

2000 stall is right. I've been talking to the guy at tbichips.com also and he told me to use the s10 tq with my build and it'd help me off the line

I've been told that the one to use is a torque convertor for a 97 ss s-10, because it has a higher stall than the regular s-10 convertor, about 2200 I've heard.
