replace a 94 ecsb 4l60e with ?

94ecsb 4l60e 2wd ... What other trannys options can be put in place with little work or whats the year range for the 4l60e's will a 95 work in the 94 ?. Or just better off doin a rebuild ? Its only behind a 305 but My buddys flex plate is loud and tranny slipping on moderate acceleration ..Someone offerd him a 400 trans not sure what year or a 4l60e from a 95 for fairly cheap.

what about other 4l60e from vans or whatever . What will work with little to no modification for a 94 1500 just looking for a replacment while his gets rebuilt . where we from its hard to find a 4l60e from 93-94

Not sure about the other tranny but a 4l60e from a 95 will not work in your truck. The 95 tranny can only be used in a 95 truck. The wiring harness and tranny are specific to that year. 95 was an odd ball year.
