1998 Tahoe 2 dr 4x4. Driver side rear seems to be lower than the passenger side with no weight in the truck. Could this be worn leaf springs or worn shocks?

I'd crawl underneath and look for a broken spring.

X2 what he said, look at spring mounts too. Unless your shocks have coil-overs or they're bent I wouldn't think they would change ride height. You don't have a dent in your rear bumper do you? If so could be a bent frame.

Do the Tahoes have the fuel tank mounted on the driver side like the trucks?

My truck leans towards the driver side when the tank is full.

IIRC, the 4-door Tahoes and Yukons have the side-mounted tank, while the 2-door models have the fuel tank in the rear.

:)
