My ses light has been on for a few weeks now went to autozone and pulled a p1810 code. Maniflod pressure switch? In the transmission. Has anyone else had this code? And what fixed the problem. The tahoe still shifts fine and i have all gears. Its a 1996 2wd tahoe.

Also i was driving on base today and put it in firsf gear and it automatically shifted to second. Is it supposed to do that?

Yeah shifting to second is normal even though the gear selector is in first. As for your SES code I have no idea sorry.

Its a pressure sensor more or less. Tells the computer which clutch pack is engaged. Drop the pan, it's flat and has 5 bolts holding it in. Easy fix.

also seems to shift better and everything. So if anyone else runs into a DTC P1810. i would recommend changing that part, and the filter while you are at it.
