Open element filter.

6.5" wide and (2) 2.75" tall filters stacked with O-ring gasket between them, so they don't shift. It's temporary until i get my hood situated, then another filter is going on, so it'll be (3) 2.75" tall filters....that way my ram-air shield will fit them correctly.

I made my own thread on here awhile back with part numbers and everything when I converted to open element. I have zero issues with it.

I think the egr thread was just full or polution tree huggers or something that want you to keep it all in tact. If you don't have emissions do what you want.

I have the stock setup but flipped the lid been running it like that for years. Also i'm going to school right now for automotive. and i asked both instructors about an open element on the TBI . They said it makes no difference at all. All it does is make the TBI sound like an old 4 barrel when you get on it
