Alright, So Introduction first. I bought this truck from my best friend and his wife. (Just now finally getting around to posting a build thread, although I've had to truck for two years.


They bought this truck five years ago when they got married with only 122k on the clock. Truck has been beat on, ran through hell, been in a small flood, but has been maintained well. So, About two months ago, I bought it with 305k miles on the clock, Missing grill, one headlight, both parking lights, and corners. (Hence the name One Eyed Monster as the girls call it)

I only gave 1000 for the truck, which I couldn't resist or pass up.

Yesterday I changed the transmission fluid because I noticed the fluid was burnt, and had the smell to it on the dipstick the day I bought it.
Truck does have a shift kit as well. I'll just say, Glad I changed it when I did, because it shifts much better now, and I know it enjoyed the refreshment!

I use the Duralast Filter, A quart of Lucas Trans Slip Fix, and four quarts of Castrol Trans DEX/MERC fluid.

Old Stereo I've used in all vehicles I've owned to this date.

Used a storage thing from an old stereo install kit laying around.. Still needs modifications though.

Just for looks, Was gave to me. Gauge is faulty and dont work, but cool because of different light colors in it. Plan on replacing with a triple gauge pod, and Using a Trans Temp gauge, AF Gauge, and Not sure on the last one yet!

Okay, So I'm not much on the tan/gray interior in these trucks.. I prefer black. This is temp until I can get replacement door panels, and all that stuff to match.

Update - Painted interior pieces, Power Washed the inside out finally, Always to it to any vehicle that I purchase used. This one didn't have any carpet when I bought it, so it just made it that much easier. Going to paint the rest of the interior, including the dash.. ** Would love to upgrade to the 03 dash/cluster and all, but no ideal if it's possible, Also want the seats and stuff out of an 03. **

A month of so of replacing the convertor, I ended up getting a completely free rebuild from Robert Godfrey.

As some of you may have noticed, I won the Giveaway that Transbuilderguy is doing.
So, It being in the low 30's here, and haven't got my garage built yet, I decided to make a redneck garage to somewhat keep me protected from the harsh coldness.
May not have the best space, but you do what you gotta do!
