my rear crossmember on my lift split, someone welded it and voided warranty on it and a crossmember from a newer one is 300 some odd bucks. a bit outta price range so what are my options here?

its been repaired before, i can try to weld it again but it looks as though it just cracked around the previous weld. i know some people have had issues with the older style bars cracking just wanted to see what theyd do. because that piece is either keeping me ifs or causing me to go solid.

if it were mine i would weld a plate on it... just welding the crack will cause it to crack right next to the weld. then start saving for the crossmember or a SAS.

Plate it treat it to prevent rust and save for a replacement.

I had this happen but I got it replaced under warranty. I just upgraded to the new style cross members. Towing heavy loads will cause that also.

yeah dude i would def put some plating in with maybe some grade 8 hardware.
