Reality is that we are not racing a 500ci pro stock where every HP counts. If you want to flip your lid go ahead, want to put a nice open element breather go ahead. The fuel spray(along with other things) from a tbi acts the same as a carb, it will cool your IAT hints why a lot of blow through turbo set ups don’t use an intercooler.

Less restriction trumps hotter air in this case. Flip away, it sounds cool and is free.
