Non roller vortec ?

I have a 1996 chevy 2500 Cheyenne manufacture date is 04/1996 pulled valve covers and doesn't have roller rockers ?? I thought all 96 up vortec had roller rockers and roller lifters

They are roller lifters in the vortecs not roller rockers

roller rockers no, roller lifters yes. no stock engine even ls motors dont have roller rockers i dont beleive.

Sure, they are adjustable, they have a certain pre-load (amount of pressure they hold on the lifter) all the time. This way as they wear, the lifter takes up the difference, eliminating the need to re-adjust.

LS engines have a roller trunnion, but not not roller tip.

LT4 was the only stock roller lifter small block Chevy I know of....
