No brake lights

i have a 1998 k1500 Silverado and the brake lights are not working. I have checked all the fuses, relays, and I have replaced the brake light switch. I can manual press the brake light switch down with a pick and all 3 brake lights work. But when the pedal is depressed the lights don't work. Anyone ever had this problem? Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated!

 

[Breakdown]

Sound like the switch needs adjustment or the bracket might be bent. If you depress the switch and it works that means the pedal isn't hitting it.
