I've used this forum a lot in the past for information and thought it was time I actually joined. I have an old 1989 K1500 5.7 tbi 4x4 short cab, short box that's pushing 200,000. My dad was the original owner and gave it to me when he upgraded to a Diesel. I was 8 years old when he bought the K1500, and I remember telling him that day that I wanted the truck someday, which was probably the only intelligent thing I said at that age. I do all my own maintenance and am just trying to get as many miles out of her as I can. It's all stock except for a radiator from a 454, bigger shrouds, new cat and muffler, transmission fluid cooler, front tow hooks, tow package, K and N filter, and I got rid of the quick connect on the back of the manifold.
