Tiny update.

The stars aligned a couple of weeks ago and I could meet up with the guy not too far from where I live. It appears to have been torched out of a 1989 or 90 Z71 (Transfer case skid plate was a Z71 thing I believe).

Looks Slightly better in person than it did on FB Marketplace. Remanufactured in ancient times by the looks of it.

The fact that it's torched out is actually somewhat of a good sign. Most likely, Someone at some point thought this thing was worth saving enough to take it out before the truck itself was sent to its final resting place.
