Wow, that's clean! What size are the tires? If they're 285/75/16, exactly the look I'm after for my truck.

Yep, great find, guys. The kid had this truck all over Craigslist for at least two weeks. No one would touch it because it needed a tranny. I knew it was what I've been wanting as soon as I saw it. It's got an oil leak at the bottom of the timing chain cover but that wasn't an issue. The 5.7L 350 runs great.

Dropped it off at the tranny shop this morning, AFTER:
intake gaskets
timing cover gasket
oil pan gasket
timing set
new oil pump
new EGR valve
new water pump

Purrs like a kitten :)

Update:
My tranny guy had the truck for 3 weeks. New valve body, new solenoids. Couldn't find anything wrong inside the transmission. He felt the computer was the culprit.

I ordered a reman ECM from ACDelco via Amazon and had it flashed at a dealership. Totally cleared up my transmission problems, it shifts perfectly now. I'm really stoked.
