Motor help please?

I have an 89 Silverado Sport 2wd rcsb.. Missing the 350, but has all its tbi wiring.. What all year motors will work, and could i use a vortec motor.. if so, what has to be done or needed?

88-94 is the same motor. The 95 is obd1.5, but the motor should be the same. You can put a vortec in and out a special manifold on for the tbi.

88-94 is the same motor. The 95 is obd1.5, but the motor should be the same. You can put a vortec in and out a special manifold on for the tbi.

1995 is OBDI exact same engine 1987-1995

1995 is one year only harness though.

My brother in law was trien to sell me a 97 vortec and claimed all i had to do was bolt my intake on it... i knew that didnt sound right

Ill try to find a wrecked one, and hope motor is good..

You can use a vortec, just have to get a vortec to tbi intake, or a vortec to carb intake with a carb to tbi adapter. And use all the tbi stuff like the distributor and stuff. Might need a tune after that too.
