Looks like some of the older tow mirrors used to be installed there, the ones with the giant metal frame. I could be wrong though.

Probably, that would be the easiest way to fill the holes. Looks very nice and clean though, and having the original window sticker is serious gravy! Very cool!
Edit: looking closely at the sticker, it did have the old school factory tow "camper" mirrors installed.

Ummm....I will let you know after I go look at it, lol. Trying everything to not jinx myself. Have had 3 similar deals get sniped from me at the last minute in the last 4 months.

truck is amazingly clean. Something you just don't find often in New York. ZERO rust underneath. No headliner sag. Door hinges are quiet. Got it for $4500. Has low compression in cylinders 3 & 5. 60 psi. No discoloration of coolant and no bubbling. Probably head gasket. Easy peasy. But seller also threw in a 89 350 with 89k on it. Engine didn't even run all that badly but going to fix whatever it is before driving it.

Yep, probably head gasket, regardless sounds like a decent deal. Especially up there, where I'm sure you're used to seeing nothing but rust buckets.
