I'd like to see pics of the front suspension before calling it a pile. It's hard to tell if it has a front driveshaft. Those leaf springs mounts don't look to good but it's hard to tell from the pictures.

Im with you on the good trail rig, hunting truck, I get nervous driving my truck in my drive way, little lone using it for its intended purpose.
