getting code for knock sensor
was one thing i didnt change when i swapped engine, wasnt sure what it was, and the one on this engine seemed to move, and the one on my old engine didnt, so i thought old one was stuck, is it supposed to move
havent gotten to do volt meter test on it yet, book says something about pulling dist to replace, not sure why, dont feel like pulling the dist if i dont have to

no should not move, just threads in, do not use any sealers just bare threads.

never heard of having to touch distributor

On a '99+ the knock sensors are under the intake. On our trucks though they are on the back passenger side of the engine, near the starter.

No the knock sensor definitly should not move, and like already said it is just in front of the starter.

ok
didnt know what it was, thought it was some kind of pressure thing that should push out
i'll just try swapping one off old engine
