This is my newest member of our fleet. Bought from a friend of my wife's and I whom had lost her mother and step father in March 2014. The lady and her husband bought this truck used in 2000 or 2001 with a rebuilt engine and transmission in it. The husband used it for about 4 or 5 years before giving it to her parents. Sadly at that time no one else wanted it because of the price of gas then. They offered me the truck for an incredible deal that I could not turn down. I bought it for $200.00. My neighbor across the street joked that what I bought was the camper shell and that the truck was thrown in for free, LOL.

Now for us this truck is our hauler. We can move anything that will fit in to it, and may even buy a flat bed trailer between 8 and 12 foot long as well. We don't have any major plans for it other than to keep it road worthy.

It also will be used to teach my daughter how to drive a stick shift. She already has about 15 minutes under her belt with the clutch.

Will be doing some minor power upgrades such as the TBI mod.

Tranny already has a HD clutch in it. Will be looking for a new gear shift knob for it.

And today we were given the back seat and the hubcaps. Already was given the Factory Service Manual that they had.

Today replaced the battery. I had told Walmart last month that the battery was bad but their testing machine said it was good. Well this time my charger said it had a shorted cell and their machine finally agreed with that. Ended up getting an upgrade for free since the battery it had was no longer available from Walmart. The one that went bad was a 2 year and this new one is a 3 year free replacement warranty. From the receipts I have it appears this is now the second battery replaced under warranty.

I have also done plugs and wire. And a CD/AM/FM with mp3 input radio change.

Trying to find a spare rim for this truck, seem no one around here has one. Just want a simple steel rim for spare tire.

Installed the radio that I had in my van into it last night, will post a picture later. Having to strip the van down do to major issues that I am done dealing with. Old girl has 379K miles and is tired. And for the cost of one part I can replace the exact part and more on the truck.

This morning I ordered a LMC catalog for the pickup.

BTW the Tachometer LED is quite bright. Must install a resistor to dim it a bit.

Also found a spare rim. It is from a 1991 Chevy C1500. Did not get to see the interior but the outside looked pretty roughed up.
