igntition switch help

This is what the contacts in that switch look like. Its a very simple design, just be sure if you take it apart, its on a hard surface so if you drop anything you can find it again.

Is there anyway to maybe bend them contacts out to make them make contact better or will they bend back after time?

I wouldn try to bend them. Small springs press them against the contacts made in the switch. Maybe a little dielectric grease to help them not stick.

Is your truck auto or manual? I just replaced my clutch position switch because of a similar symptom. Worked like a charm.
