hydroboost swap question

I am changing my brakes from the vacuum assist to hydroboost.

Why are you swapping...as in was your stock braking system crap..? My booster needed replacing and now brakes are awesome...someone on here told me allot of people swap then realize it was just they're booster..just thought if ask and share

The braking power is more than doubled with a hydroboost system. I did it on my 97 and had less than $300 in the whole swap, including a new PS pump. Its a great upgrade for a 1/2 ton, especially if you tow anything substantial.

Not to mention people with engines that don't create a lot of vacuum have trouble with vacuum boosters.
