Think I'm just gonna stick with a 2/4. Anything special I need to do?

Yep. Pre-arrange counseling for the grief you'll feel after realizing 2/4 wasn't enough and you have to un-do the hangers and shackles, find your stock parts if they weren't trashed or destroyed during removal (grinding or torching the rivets out of the hangers sucks), and spend more money on the flip kit.

Or the non-smartass answer, nothing special, I'd go spindles for the front for ease of alignment and no change in ride quality - also can continue to run the stock front shocks. In the rear hangers and shackles, they can be for the 1500 application as there's no difference between that and 2500LD. If you haul much of anything in the bed you may find it will hit the bump stops, so you might want to invest in the shorty bump stops like the kind used in a flip kit. Don't forget drop shocks for the rear. Wouldn't hurt to do new shocks in front too just so it's "even" all the way around, you can even get the same kind of shocks, just the appropriate length for what technically is no front drop since you just did spindles.

I installed shock extenders on my 2/4 just for the improvement in the shock angle. The appropriate 2" shorter shocks were required.

And yea...2/4 ain't enough! I'll never do another! The install of the driver side hanger & then getting the pinion angle right was an exercise in frustration.
Once the '98's done, (Yea, right! Lol!) the 2/4 on my '97 is outa there! Just like everyone else that's ever done a 2/4!

Ok I've ran into a problem. I'm not having any luck finding a 454 SS flip kit. Anyone know of a company that makes one?

I'm guessing I'll have to adjust my pinion angle with this? And I'll need to lower my center support bearing as well?
