My truck had 430000 when I got it on the v6 with 5 speed. Was still running strong and the heads were never even pulled.

I have a 1994 with a V6 and an auto. It had 177,000 miles, it now has 215,000 miles 6 1/2 years later. I've changed 2 alternators, 2 batteries, 2 starters (bad solenoids), battery cable, oil pan, valve cover gaskets, and maintenance parts. Left me stranded twice, coil worked its way loose in its casing and lost ground. The other time was the positive battery cable shorted to the frame, ran like crap and put on a nice smoke show. I was at a junkyard at all places, but guess who has probably 30 GMT400s but cut the battery cables to pull the batteries out. As far as I know, the engine, transmission, and rearend are the originals. Truck runs great, shifts great, and I haven't had a problem with the rearend either. The engine doesn't leak a drop, smoke, or use any oil. I change the oil once a year, I use Royal Purple oil and a Wix filter.
