help identify this noise

Wouldnt either of the suggested points be anything other then a random issue? I just drove home from work (15 miles) and still no noises.

Man, I don't know. When ever it happens again, make a quick note of the conditions, thats about all you can do.

Well it was silent for a day.. and now its back. Still making the same noise, but this time it has a squeak/chirp with it, that changes with rotational speed. (Slower speed = slower pace noise and vise versa) .. damn this truck lol.

maybe drive around with someone in the bed and then in the cab and see were its louder

Bed? What bed? Lol. I had it in the air yesterday. Went through all the gears, and all 4 modes on the transfer case. Not a peep.

Meh.. ill just keep driving it until something breaks, so then i can go "oh it was____ the whole time!"
