There are two other ground straps that go from the engine to the passenger side firewall. The other goes from the gas filler neck to the bed. These are the factory grounds in addition to the ones you already mentioned.

Thanks, I'll look into those as well. I've been having some weird electrical issues lately and I think it might be due to the missing ground straps. A person probably could never have too many ground straps.

Never too many grounds (on these systems, others are weird) frame to body to engine. Also helps to have a nice cable for batt charging.

Yeah it is for the static electricity. As the gas flows through the rubber hose it creates a positive charge.
