gauge cluster interchange

I have a 1988 silverado. I love the truck but I'm not real fond of the fill in gauges. Will a little newer gauge cluster with the needles work on a 88? Is the wiring harness plug the same? Thanks

Any 88-94 gauge should swap if im not mistaken. I think the 92-94 have needles

Absolutely not true. There's a whole write up for swapping gauges, let me go find it......

Thanks for posting the link. Looks like a big deal to switch everything out so I guess I am going to be stuck with the gauges I have. I would attempt it if I was better at soldering. To be honest I have just not ever done a lot of it. I don't think I could get clean enough connections to where it would work. Now if I could weld them I have lots of experience with that.lol
