Before anyone blasts me for this I've looked high and low for it. But with a bagged ext cab. How bad does the gas tank hang below the frame?

Stock the 88-98 tank is flush with the bottom of the frame, I usually raise them 1 inch to clear the ground, but I drove my truck for many years with the tank at stock height with no problems while bagged and laying frame.

Whether bagged or just really low static, you still have to be careful with the gas tank straps. On my old '92 extended cab longbed, due to the wheelbase, it tended to high center on steep driveways even though it was just static. It dragged one of the tank straps down until it was diamond-buckled. So raising it an inch like draggin said sounds like a great idea. :)
