Dropped my truck off for an inspection today and figured I'd have them throw on a new fuel filter while they were under there. After they were done I crawled underneath and they put the filter on backwards, I went back in and they changed it back around but I'm just wondering if it would have hurt the filter to be ran backwards? Granted it only went from the lift to the parking lot and back, but I'm just curious. I've never put one on backwards before haha

I would've asked for a new filter on there dime just so the next person won't have the same experience. Pay attention people!

But I'm sure it will be fine.

Because of the way the filter is made, it really wouldn't hurt anything, but it will restrict the flow and possibly change the fuel pressure.
