Front axle seal

I got a leak up front on the passenger side at the axle seal. or what looks like its called the output shaft seal. In the link below I believe the part i need is #4, but there are two #4 options... one for "under 7500 GVW" and one for "Over 7500 GVW"... not sure which one i need...

If you have a 1500, probably under 7500 lbs, it should be on the glovebox sticker.

Since most 3/4 ton's were also under 7500, I'm nearly positive that's the right answer, it's referring to the GVRW, and as far as I know, they never ever used the larger IFS diff in a half ton, although 3/4's went both ways.

Agreed. Going with under 7500. Thanks I'll confirm that it's correct when I actually pull it apart

Look at the drive side door there is a info placard (sticker) that has the vin tire size and gvw on it
